A Urologic Specialty Facility...integrating a traditional urology practice with a dedicated ambulatory surgical and diagnostic center.

The concept of outpatient surgery and ambulatory surgery centers has recently come of age. With modern advances in the techniques, equipment and care of patients, many diagnostic and surgical procedures and routinely completed in such a setting. Hospitalization is no longer needed for most urologic surgical procedures.

Our facility is unique! All of the diagnostic and outpatient surgery performed here is for patients with urologic disorders. We built this facility for one purpose...to provide our patients with the most comprehensive urologic healthcare available.

The Urology Center of Florida is fully licensed by the State of Florida’s Agency for Health Care Administration and approved by the Federal Government through Medicare and the Health Care Finance Administration. Receiving medical attention at a fully licensed facility is important. The licensure process certifies that our facility has been carefully inspected and has been found to meet the strict requirements for the care and safety of our patients.

Contained within our center are facilities to meet all of your urologic needs. Initial examinations, consultations, laboratory, pathology, radiology (x-ray, CT, ultrasound), diagnostic and therapeutic services are available.

Ambulatory Surgery Center

Our ambulatory surgery center contains specially designed pre-operative, surgical and recovery suites. Our staff includes licensed anesthesiologists and anesthetists, to provide the finest medical care before, during and after surgery. Our nursing staff is specially trained and attuned to the unique needs of our surgical guests.

Pathology

Our pathology department, led by our specialized urologic pathologist, offers comprehensive histopathology and cytology services. The mission of our pathology department is to help our urologists and patients make informed treatment decisions when faced with the diagnosis of cancer and other urologic diseases by providing the best in technical and scientific expertise. We focus on diagnosis of cancer of urologic organs (prostate, urinary bladder, kidney, and testis) with a special interest in prostate cancer.

Radiology

Our radiology department provides studies of exceptional quality in a convenient and cost-effective manner for even the most complex urologic diagnosis. The services we provide are diverse and complete, ranging from general diagnostic radiology to complex cancer staging and surveillance. Each patient receives their deserved personal attention from our physicians and staff.

Research

The Urology Center of Florida is a nationally recognized urologic research center. We are actively engaged in a wide variety of medical research projects that are supported by major pharmaceutical manufacturers and authorized and monitored by the Federal Food & Drug Administration. Participation in medical research allows interested patients the opportunity to receive the most advanced and newest treatments years before they become widely available.
